This retro-styled furniture originates from the model created in the 1950s by the ingenious Mr. Charles Tordo.
The Spirit of the Blue Chair
Commissioned by the City of Nice to manufacture the 330 blue chairs adorning the famous Promenade des Anglais, Edmond & Fils decided to make this expertise available to a wider audience.
Thus, the idea of a new collection imbued with the essence of the French Riviera emerged…
Its nautical design and massive tubular frame, combined with okoumé wood slats, offer unparalleled comfort and resistance. At Edmond & Fils, the use of modern technologies is compatible with the respect for authenticity and beauty: thus, waterproof stainless steel rivets have replaced the bolts used in the past, and laser cutting of the metal sheet replaces the traditional embellishments of yesteryear.
