Promenade des Anglais – Nice
The City of Nice, as part of a public contract, was required to replace its historic chairs on the Promenade des Anglais while preserving the iconic identity of Nice’s seafront. The main challenge was to respect the authenticity of the iconic urban furniture, a symbol of Mediterranean heritage and lifestyle.
The Requirement
The objectives aimed to combine historical fidelity, modern comfort, durability, and tourist appeal. To meet this heritage imperative, the project was conducted in close collaboration with Cabinet WILLMOTTE & Associés, a renowned specialist in urban architecture and design, in order to design furniture that was both respectful of Nice’s heritage and adapted to contemporary uses.
The Solution
In response to the requirements of the City of Nice, we developed a bespoke chair scrupulously respecting the authentic lines of the historic furniture of the Promenade des Anglais.
This 100% French manufacturing, handcrafted within our family business, guarantees exceptional expertise and meticulous attention to every detail. The solution combines heritage aesthetics and technical performance, with exceptional robustness and unparalleled durability against the climatic constraints of the Mediterranean coast. This furniture perfectly embodies the alliance between French artisanal tradition and industrial innovation for a lasting and authentic result.
