Urban furniture for exceptional parks and gardens

Tuileries Garden (the Louvre), Luxembourg Garden (the Senate), Parc André Citroën, Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, Promenade des Anglais in Nice, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Saint-Étienne, Palace of Versailles, Villa Medici French Academy in Rome, Tour&Taxis in Brussels… Edmond & Fils is the manufacturer of authentic historic steel furniture for exceptional venues.

Promenade des Anglais

Like the Negresco and the Ruhl, the blue chairs of the promenade are an integral part of the Nice landscape. They were created after the war by Charles Tordo, an ingenious inventor and craftsman, at the request of Mr. Ballanger, who held the concession for the Promenade’s chairs.
After commissioning Jean-Michel Wilmotte to redesign them, the municipality entrusted us with the manufacturing of the new series.
Massive tubing, distinct armrest curvature, azure hue – everything in their nautical design harmonizes with the spirit of the Riviera. This includes the special care given to the paints to offer the best resistance to corrosion from sea air.

Château Garden
of Vaux-le-Vicomte

As an invitation for visitors to relax, low lounge chairs and stools customized in the colors of Vaux-le-Vicomte have been placed at the Water Gates, offering a sublime view of the Château and André Le Nôtre’s French garden. Edmond & Fils cushions are installed during the Summer Candlelight Evenings for even greater comfort…

Luxembourg Gardens

Following the manufacturing of the Tuileries furniture starting in 2008, the Senate commissioned our services in 2013 to renew that of the Luxembourg Garden. After our design office made a few modifications to the pieces from the Tuileries collection, particularly the curvature of the backrest slats, Edmond & Fils took charge of the chairs and armchairs for the “Luco,” as Parisians affectionately call it.

Parc André Citroën

In this futuristic space, designed on the site of the former Citroën factory in the heart of Paris, lush vegetation, aquatic scenographies, and themed gardens coexist.
To punctuate this ensemble with relaxation areas, the City of Paris commissioned Edmond & Fils to produce the furniture designed by internationally renowned architect Patrick Berger.
Chairs, benches, and sun loungers with stainless steel frames, covered with wide wooden slats, thus punctuate the site with islands of rest and entertainment areas.

Tuileries Garden

In 2008, the Louvre Museum, which manages the Tuileries, commissioned Edmond & Fils to renew all the garden furniture.
Made from sheet metal and tubing, our 100% steel chair is visually identical to those of Paris during the Roaring Twenties. Technically, Edmond & Fils redesigned it to improve its resistance to wear over time. The Tuileries chair is now an icon of Paris, known worldwide.
