Festival International des Jardins – Project Äng
Chaumont-sur-Loire Castle opens its doors to the International Garden Festival.
This year, ‘Biomimicry’ in the garden is highlighted, along with the desire to place nature at the heart of human projects. Twenty-four talented architects and landscape designers present their vision. Among these projects is Äng (meadow in Swedish), designed by Aron Fidjeland and Vincent Dumay, architects; Ella ROLF, florist; and Baptiste Wullschleger, architect and landscape designer CESP. These four young talents enlisted Edmond & Fils to complete this rammed earth structure, a roofless shelter rising in a field of perennials and contrasting with the beauty of the garden’s plants. It can be discovered until November 7, 2021.
